An ASK IT lesson game to be completed in pairs on A3/A4 paper. The example used as a Reading/English lesson at the beginning of the new book or new unit - ideal for new term and fits great with World War II theme - This example can be adapted to fit any text however - children loved this lesson, child centred approach and gets them really thinking about what they are reading - Modelled on the RIC approach and can easily be adpapted to suit all levels from Year 3 and upwards -

Ideal for the first teaching of this and as a class - Super progression from the activty sheets also - The headteacher gave me good with outstanding for this lesson ! Enjoy and use as you see fit !
Pronouns and enclosed worksheet through this PPT presentation - ideal for year 3,4 and 5 and with included progression - I have used this for a few years and year groups now and they like the entertainment within the slides and engages all the children throughout - enjoy !
Complete lesson on re telling a section of the Stone Age Boy story with an example we discussed in class - this is then levelled off into yellow blue or red sections and can be differetated accordingly - A great lesson with not that long on the carpet ! I have used this for year 3 and 4 now and each time the lesson has gone really well with the kids producing some great writing following the story ! I wrote this with little pictures of the Iron Man at the top of the kids books - choice of colours to add which level of work they wish to complete also - this is I believe a typical 80-20 lesson with the kids doing the 80 !!

There`s a Pharoah in our bath - continue the story stand alone lesson as a powerpoint with then levelled pieces/colours for the children to work on to write a continuation - Great book for Y3 and Y4 to study and hopefully this should get some good writing for you - A starter activty also built into this to start the lesson on word classes
Pack of word class cards - ideal for the children to practice and revise key word classes - ideal for spag practice and revision generally throughout the school year with display also here- I got the class to write the particular word on the word class display sheet to create and add to the working wall - A great and invaluable resource and suitable for all year groups for Key Stage 2 in addition this can be used across school and particularly helpful for year 2 !

A whole stand alone lesson on compound sentences with word resources to show progress over a lesson - The inspector said he liked the lesson !
It is a well paced Powerpoint then explains clearly to KS 2 the use of a compound sentence and how to use them - they then put this into practice by using the activities within the attached word document
This took a 50 minute lesson and all children accessed this really well - I have done this to years 4,5 and 6 and it has worked well - I hope you find it of use either for a lesson or revision tool
Complex sentences - A stand alone lesson with included resources to print and a self coloured pleanary for the children to show their understanding of complex sentences and use them in context etc - This is a powerpoint although as I say needs the last slides printing off for the activities - any queries do message and I`ll happily help !
A great Spag revision tool that will work with any age group from Year 3 to Year 6 ! Ideal to embed learning !
Information on word classes through the poem and then completed workheets to revise them further still with creative progress to make and design their own ! All the children I have used this on have really enjoyed it and learnt a great deal ! Any questions do ask away !!
Sword in the stone reading and writing comprehension ideal for KS2 particulary mixed aged class ( mine!) this activity/lesson went really well to improve reading skills !
Different children read different parts then we discussed key words and phrases - then all of the children completed the attached activties within this Powerpoint identifying word classes intially to improve SPAG skills then developing their reading comprehensive skills with some inference also - Headteacher walked in mid lesson and really liked what she saw !

Perseverance assembly - Climbing a mountain
This is an assembly of mine I did to all of Key Stage 2 over 200 children in the hall to talk to them about the idea of Perservance and what this meant and was all about - the opening slide is a video one and I got them to try and guess the title of the assembly as they came in and watched it - the other slides are for points on discussion and information in regard to this and resilience also - this went very well and the children did get the message !
